About
Christina Piche, LCSW, BCD
Complex-trauma specialist, clinical consultant, and Air Force veteran.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate with more than 15 years in the rooms most clinicians find hardest — complex trauma, high-risk cases, and the moments where the work feels too heavy to hold alone. I've led behavioral health programs, trained and supervised clinicians for over a decade, and I know what it's like to carry a case you can't stop thinking about. That's the work I'm here for now: helping fellow therapists steady themselves and find their footing with their most difficult clients.
Where my clinical judgment was forged
My foundation was built under pressure. As a Major in the United States Air Force, I served as a Family Advocacy Officer and Director of Psychological Health, and managed the ADAPT substance-abuse program supporting more than 3,000 active-duty members. I led multidisciplinary teams, directed disaster mental health response, and built trauma-informed services for military, law enforcement, and first-responder populations — work that demanded clear clinical judgment when the stakes were highest.
Alongside that, I've spent more than a decade developing other clinicians: as a Clinical Director, a SIFI-certified supervisor, and a clinical and operational supervisor, I've guided 15+ graduate students and helped eight social workers complete the supervision required for licensure. Helping clinicians trust their own judgment isn't a pivot for me — it's what I've always done.
How I consult
My approach to consultation is the same one I bring to the hardest cases: warm, direct, grounded in deep trauma expertise — and never judgmental. I'm IFS-informed and EMDR-certified, and I help clinicians find their footing when a case goes quiet or heavy, so they can take clients deeper instead of freezing. You bring me the case that's keeping you up; together we make sense of it, clinically and honestly.
While my specialty is complex trauma, I consult with clinicians on a range of challenging cases — if the work feels heavy or stuck, you're in the right place.
